At Skyword Learning Games, our mission is to bring communities together so students can get the mental skills and support they need to break through their limitations, release their potential, and achieve great things. As clichéd as "break through" and "release potential" may sound, it means the world to us. Why? Because it all starts with the root word of potential which is "potent." POTENT means POWER! And each and every one of us has an unlimited supply of that power. The only problem is, we often let the limits of our current thinking habits, comfort zones, and beliefs get in the way of tapping into that power so we can achieve great things. It happens on an individual level as well as a community level. And as a result, we as a collective community are not becoming all that we are capable of becoming.

But imagine living in communities where everyone regardless of age, color, religion, economic status, gender or orientation are empowered and engaged in making a difference for themselves and the world around them. Wouldn't that be great? Well, as idealistic as that sounds, that's a bit of the vision behind our mission. How do we plan to fulfill our mission?

  • First, we focus on the teens and young adults in our communities. Why? Because they are at a pivotal time in life where it’s so easy to lose sight of who you are, what you have going for you, and your goals and aspirations. It's a time where if you get too sucked into distractions you can end up in the wrong crowd and lose all hope and motivation for a brighter future. Our mission is to reach students at this vital time in life and give them the education and tools they need so they can develop the proper thinking skills and growth mindset to break away from limiting thinking habits, comfort zones, and beliefs and use the power within themselves to achieve great things in their life. 
  • Secondly, we bring together local businesses, governments, foundations, schools and institutions to help align interests and resources so students can get the mental skills training and support they need over time.

Working together to help our youth succeed makes this world a better place for all. That's why I created SKYWORD™ The Mental Game of Goal Achievement™. I wanted to synthesize the fundamentals of peak performance training and put it into a game so our youth and anyone who plays and applies the training can achieve the success and results that are important to them and important to all of us if we expect to release the full potential within our communities.
