From Start to Finish, SKYWORD™ gets results.

As a leader, when you invest in training, you want to see results - whether that's achieving higher levels of performance and productivity, implementing change, making it through difficult times, or just wanting to stay one step ahead of the competition.

With the SKYWORD™ training game and curriculum, you get results. Results that are real and are measurable. When players go through the process, they learn how to develop and/or expand on the character traits of a winner that make for successful change and goal achievement such as::

  • CONFIDENCE in knowing they have the power within them to achieve their goal.

  • FOCUS on what their goal is and what it takes to achieve it.

  • PASSION in knowing why they want to achieve it.

  • DISCIPLINE in building the mental strength and daily habits to achieve it.

  • POSITIVE OUTLOOK, SELF-CONTROL, and RESILIENCE to overcome adversity along the way.

The following are different results and benefits you can expect from implementing the SKYWORD curriculum into your organization.

Player Benefits

Players that go through the training learn how to:

  • Identify and breakthrough self-imposed limitations.

  • Instill a goal setting habit.

  • Build the mental strength and passion to achieve their goals.

  • Develop healthy self-awareness, self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-worth.

  • Self-manage and self-coach themselves.

  • Develop the thought patterns and habits of a high performer.

  • Be more open and receptive to change and how to manage it effectively.

  • Approach tasks on a “I want to” instead of a “I have to” basis.

  • Motivate themselves and others.

  • Take 100% accountability for their actions and behaviors.

  • Recover quickly from mistakes, failures, setbacks, or a bad performance.

  • Reduce fear, stress, and anxiety.

  • View themselves as a “work-in-progress;” a person who is more than they appear to be.

  • Identify and use their strengths to realize more of their potential.

  • Encourage others to succeed.

Team Benefits

In addition to player benefits, teams that go through the training learn how to::

  • Build a shared destiny and common stake in a team goal or outcome.

  • Bond together and build team camaraderie and teamwork.

  • Motivate themselves toward excellence.

  • Increase their team focus.

  • Elevate their team performance.

  • Acquire a positive system of thinking and a winning culture of encouragement and success.

  • Create a unique competitive advantage that is difficult to duplicate.

Organizational Benefits

When players and teams benefit, so does your organization. As is often said: organizations don’t change; people do. When your people go through the SKYWORD™ training and make change at the deepest level of what drives their performance (i.e. their attitudes, habits, and beliefs), a fundamental shift takes place. Their personal fears, self-doubt, resistance to change, and victim mentality gets replaced with increased personal accountability, confidence, and a positive attitude toward change. This mental shift, with a goal-directed focus, leads to more courageous risk taking, sharing of ideas, and engagement in day-to-day operations. When that happens, performance and satisfaction levels rise. Sustained over time, higher employee satisfaction levels produce higher performance results, which ultimately makes a positive impact on bottom line metrics such as productivity, sales, and customer satisfaction. When people make positive change at the deepest level, the entire enterprise benefits.

Measuring Training Effectiveness

Peter Drucker, the renowned management consultant said, “What gets measured gets done.” As a leader, to ensure your players who go through the SKYWORD™ process are making a measurable impact on improving their performance and behavior, you are encouraged to use a pre-set survey that comes with the game. The pre-set surveys are used to periodically measure how often the players use and apply five key thinking habits and skills that are fundamental to goal achievement. The impact of the training on behavior is measured in terms of the frequency or regularity in which the five key habits and skills are practiced ranging on the low end from “Not at All” and “Rarely” to “Sometimes” and "Regularly" on the high end.

As a baseline, a “Before Training” survey is conducted at the start of the game, and then a post-game “After Training” survey is conducted after 30 days (or again after 60 or 90 days, or how often you choose to conduct them). Training effectiveness in terms of meeting SKYWORD's Learning Outcomes and Objectives is measured from the baseline based on a visible increase or progression toward the REGULAR or habitual use of the five key thinking habits and skills.

As a leader, all you have to do is hand out the surveys, collect them when completed, and then input the results or data into a single pre-set Excel worksheet. After that, the Excel program will automatically produce statistics and bar charts for you. As a customer, you can access the Excel program through the password protected Resource Center below.

Note: The intent of the training is focused on developing life-long skills important to goal achievement and performance improvement. As such, the survey is focused on measuring the “INPUT” or the application of the five key thinking habits and skills it takes to produce the desired “OUTPUT” both the players and you eventually want to see. Actual “OUTPUT” or goal achievement is not measured due to circumstances the players can and cannot control. However, you can measure it using your own sources of data.
